We’ve recently developed the design for a significant house located on the South Coast, working alongside the team at Randell Design Group.
Our design has created a series of spaces around a new swimming pool, designed for use at different times of the day and for different occasions. The garden extends beyond the pool and in this space we have created spaces around a summerhouse and a quiet space to enjoy set deep in the garden and away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the house.
The garden is currently being constructed and is due to complete in late autumn 2024.
This new build house has incredible views overlooking a creek that runs off the entrance to Chichester harbour. The design brief included a large terrace with space for up to twelve people to eat outdoors and a sunken seating space overlooking the harbour as the sun sets.
The plot slopes from front to back and we’ve carefully worked with the levels establishing a series of subtle compartments along the length of the terrace, creating spaces for members of the family to use at different times of the day.
The family are keen sailors and the design enables dinghies and paddle boards to brought through the garden to the creek’s edge, and with an outdoor shower located conveniently for washing off the boats and boards afterwards.
There is also an indoor swimming pool that opens out onto a formal lawn area that is laid at the same level as the terrace, and this space includes a cosy and more private space sitting adjacent to the pool so that the family can be connected to the pool whilst outside.
Construction of the garden has started and is due to complete in late autumn 2024.
Our Clients are extending their house to create a new kitchen and outdoor terrace which will sit over a newly created lower ground floor that is home to a gym and spa. The house sits at the end of a private road with a sloping garden overlooking open fields and countryside.
We’ve been tasked with extending the area to the rear of the house to incorporate a large entertaining area with an outdoor kitchen, and reworking the garden levels to create a more usable space that will incorporate a sunken seating area.
Our renders show the design that we’ve developed and are currently specifying for build, once the house works have been completed, currently scheduled for late 2024.
This architectural gem is newly built and has been cleverly designed on a severely sloping site within a stones throw of the sea. The living spaces on both floors directly open out onto courtyards and we’re working with our Clients to redesign the garden to create distinct day and nighttime spaces.
There’s a significant change in level between each space, and the different levels will be accessed by a series of hidden floating steps leading to a pergola covered terrace that overlooks the more open upper level. The lower courtyard incorporates cantilevered bench seating and dining space accessed by stepping over a water feature, and set around Arbutus unedo, the Strawberry tree, with the striking bark colour.
The garden is currently being constructed and is due to complete in spring 2023.
